(Course #4) Build a website on Canva
Snowpal Education: Building websites in Canva is not just quick, it is also a lot of fun. All you need is a bit of help with maneuvering the product as it does have a plethora of features.
When you sign up for this course, we will let you know what you need to get started, be productive and get a decent looking website in quick time.
A website in 30 minutes. Tops.
There's a number of ways to build a website. Of course. There is also a myriad of tools that will help you build sites in quick time. However, a lot of them end up taking a lot of time in the long run even if they look promising at first.
Besides, some of them are specifically geared towards building websites. What if you wanted to generate a quick graphic and just that? What if you wanted to create presentations that didn't look dated? (read: Powerpoint!). Well, that's where Canva as a product makes a world of a difference.

Summary
This course is a fast and pragmatic tour of Canva, taught from the perspective of a builder. Instead of focusing on abstract design theory, it demonstrates how an engineering-led team at Snowpal uses Canva to produce real assets quickly, including landing pages, course sites, presentations, thumbnails, and promotional graphics. The emphasis is on speed, clarity, and creating something you can publish immediately.
You will begin with a guided overview of Canva’s workspace. This includes choosing a design type such as a website, presentation, or graphic, selecting a template, and understanding how drafts, folders, and brand assets keep your work organized. Along the way, you will hear candid notes on why Snowpal consolidated several tools into Canva, which offered better value, simpler workflows, and fewer moving parts to manage.
From there, the course focuses on building a one-page website, which is the format Canva handles especially well. You will learn how page sections stack, how to reorder pages, and how notes help you document each section for yourself while keeping the live page clean. The lessons walk you through swapping templates midway, refining typography, and wiring calls to action such as email links so the page is not only visually appealing but also effective in driving results.
Hands-on segments cover the everyday techniques that make Canva efficient. These include replacing placeholder photos with your own uploads, using frames to automatically mask images, flipping and cropping visuals, snapping to alignment guides, and grouping elements for quick and consistent resizing. You will see how a simple portfolio header can become a multi-section page with an introduction, an “about me” section, and a contact section in just a few minutes.
The course also provides honest context on tooling choices. It explains how platforms such as Kajabi can be powerful but also expensive and complex, and when a streamlined Canva workflow with a relatively low annual cost is the better option. This is especially true for startups that are managing a large number of competing priorities. The goal is not to declare a single best tool but to help you create the right asset with the least amount of friction.
By the end of the course, you will be comfortable creating a cohesive and on-brand one-page website, remixing templates without breaking the layout, and producing polished assets that your team can use immediately. If you want a clear and practical path to working websites and visuals without needing to become a full-time designer, this course provides the playbook Snowpal relies on in real-world projects.
